Invitation to register for the ACER - ENTSOG workshop on the FUNC issue

The European Union Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) and the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG) will host a joint workshop to discuss the FUNC issue: how to ensure greater flexibility to book firm capacity at interconnection points (IPs), as well as its possible solutions.

When and where?
Monday 27 June, from 9:00 until 12.30 CET, online.

What is it about?
The FUNC issue was reported by the European Federation of Energy Traders (EFET) who has proposed to make firm IP capacity more readily available to shippers by enabling Transmission System Operators (TSOs) to offer it for sale in uniform price allocation (UPA) auctions (outside the auction timetable dates envisaged by the Network Code on Capacity Allocation Mechanisms).

To further assess the issue and collect additional market input, a public consultation took place from December 2020 until March 2021. Following the public consultation, ACER and ENTSOG have been analysing the responses and discussing possible solutions.

The aim of the workshop is to collect further input and feedback from stakeholders on the potential solutions.
